Due to covid-19, I had to change my objectives for the end of the semester. At first I had change my plans from having a complete film to at least finish all the rough animation. Unfortunately, I do not have a desk at home and this is what my workstation looks like:

As a result, I started getting pain in my knees from sitting on this for too long. I have decided to postpone animating until I move to another flat with a desk (yes, I am flat hunting at the moment).
So I have decided to focus on working on the pre-production for my other films! Here is how the Autumn film story boarding is coming along:

Synopsis: A young woman walks up a mountain with her stool, hoping to forgive herself and finally be free from guilt.
Other details: I'm thinking of having her internal, introspective monologue as the narration. I'm not going to explicitly mention the source of her guilt, hoping that maybe it will allow some people to relate to her need of self-forgiveness.

So a while back I mentioned this very strong image I had of a girl and a stool and a whole lot of falling (as seen on the right). I was also picture very scenic views of a colourful forest in autumn. So I started building my story around these images. It wasn't intentional at all, but my story has some catholic undertones (I blame catholic school for that). There is definitely a parallel to be made between her journey to the top of the mountain and the way of the cross. However, do not be mistaken, this story isn't about Jesus or religion: I simply took inspiration from it. Her journey isn't about dying for the sins of all humanity. She is just walking up a mountain while flirting with the idea of ending her own life, while trying to find the strength to forgive her own wrongdoings.
